About the Unit
The Network and System Group operates within the Şırnak University Department of Information Technology, providing the physical installation and maintenance of local and wide network infrastructures located in the campus and other premises. It develops system management for this network infrastructure, determines active/passive devices, and performs installation, operation, and configuration of the services that will run on these devices.

- Planning, executing, and supervising cabling operations for internet networks in areas within the university,
- Providing secure and high-quality wireless network access for students, administrative, and academic staff both inside and outside the university, and ensuring the continuity of the provided network access service,
- Controlling internet access using a firewall,
- Installing, managing, and updating server software,
- Providing technical consultancy for determining internet network and requirements for new campuses,
