YETKIM (eduGAIN)

Our university has successfully completed the process of joining the YETKIM Federation as an identity provider by September 30, 2021. This initiative was undertaken due to the efforts led by the European Commission in the context of the European Student Card Initiative and the digitization of the Erasmus Project.

Within this framework, access to numerous service providers, including academic and other information-sharing platforms worldwide, can now be facilitated using our institutional identity credentials.

WHAT IS YETKIM?

YETKIM is an identity federation established for higher education and research institutions connected to the National Academic Network (ULAKNET). It is operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM and is also a member of eduGAIN (https://yetkim.org.tr/).

eduGAIN is a global service operated by the European Academic network GEANT. It brings together more than 2,600 identity providers and over 1,800 service providers under a single roof, with the participation of federations managed by education and research networks from 73 different countries.

YETKIM-eduGAIN is not just a service for Erasmus but also provides access to significant academic publication archives worldwide, such as Elsevier services and Taylor & Francis services. You can follow newly added services to YETKIM at https://topluluk.yetkim.org.tr/.
