As part of the 2026–2027 Academic Year Orientation Program, organized to facilitate the adaptation of newly enrolled students to university life and introduce the services available to them, the Directorate of Information Technologies at Şırnak University delivered an informative presentation on the university's digital infrastructure and IT services.
The program was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış; Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hüseyni; Secretary General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cabir Altıntaş; academic and administrative staff; department heads; unit administrators; and students. The event began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a promotional video introducing the university. Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış then addressed the students, extending his best wishes for a successful and productive academic year to the entire university community.
During the information sessions moderated by Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cabir Altıntaş, the university's academic and administrative units introduced the services and opportunities available to students.
In the presentation delivered by the Directorate of Information Technologies, students received comprehensive information about the university's IT infrastructure and digital services that they will use throughout their academic journey. The presentation covered internet access facilities, the eduroam wireless network, institutional user accounts, access to digital platforms, and technical support services.
The presentation also emphasized the importance of using the university's technological resources effectively and securely. Students were informed about the support services available to assist them with accessing digital systems and resolving potential technical issues.
In line with the university's digital transformation objectives, ensuring that students can fully benefit from information and communication technologies, supporting educational activities through a robust IT infrastructure, and facilitating access to digital services remain among our key priorities.
As the Directorate of Information Technologies, we warmly welcome all newly enrolled students to Şırnak University and wish them a successful academic year.
